Greenpoint Gallery Crawl

Hey all,

This Saturday I will be playing (my live pa and with HappySadOrchestra and possibly the Doomsday Apostles) at 9PM this Saturday at my friend Shawn's Greenpoint Gallery at 390 McGuinness Blvd which is a large art space also devoted to music. It is the Saturday night after-party during this weekend's Greenpoint Art Gallery Crawl which you can read about at the link below. It all sounds and looks pretty cool with lots of galleries, art, people and in the end...PARTY!

Back From Burning Man

Wow! Burning Man is AMAZING! (here are some pics). Below are three tracks from different parts of the same set. The first is a little quiet but kicks in nicely at at about 12 minutes in. The last is crunchy loud as a result of a too hot input but the energy is high! #2 is just right. A few less kinks than the last "Le Couch" track. Got to keep writing! Comments please!

This is it. My little Live PA setup for Burning Man. Deskspace is only 2 feet wide by 3 feet deep. Clockwise from top left: Korg Kaoss Pad 3, Novation Remote 25SL, FutureRetro Revolution, E-mu Command Station, Waldorf Blofeld, Dave Smith Instruments Tetr4. Hidden underneath is a rack power bar, little Rolls mixer, Alesis Compressor 3230, BBE Sonic Maximizer and ProCo DI outs. A Edirol R09 to record rounds it out. RCA's to dj mixer and its party time.

Le Couch 2 - Live PA

So, in preparation for Burning Man this year, I dusted off the synths and machines and performed a somewhat rusty "Live PA" at Jilly's Le Couch 2 birthday party a couple of weeks ago. I have added and polished and expect too have a blast sounding out the deset in Nevada in two weeks! Check out this rough 50 minutes if you have the time:
